Objecting to Planning Application LA05/2024/0524/F
Please find below a draft objection letter regarding Planning Application LA05/2024/0524/F – the proposed extension to Bob Stewart’s pub/restaurant.
We are asking you to read and think about it if you agree please sign, date and add your address.
This is not about NIMBYism, given what we are seeing in the News. Our concern is that this application highlights the wider lack of investment in infrastructure and care for the environment in the area, especially relating to:
Water and sewage capacity – Drumbeg Wastewater Treatment Works and the wider Northern Ireland Water systems are clearly under extreme pressure.
Roads and traffic safety – the Ballyskeagh Road and site access cannot safely accommodate extra traffic and public transport is severely deficient.
Environmental impact – the proposal risks harm to the River Lagan, Belfast Lough, and the Lagan Valley Regional Park, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, our home.
The objection letter has been kept straightforward.
You can fill in your name, address, and date, sign, and either:
Post it to: Case Office Kevin Maguire
Planning Department
Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council
Island Civic Centre
Lagan Valley Island
Lisburn BT27 4RL
Or deliver it in person to the Planning Department.
Or email “LCCC Planning Office” planning@lisburncastlereagh.gov.uk
Or click this link and put your own objection in to the planning portal under ‘comment’ and remember to select ‘object’ as your stance.
Every objection matters. By raising our voices together, we can press for responsible planning that invests properly in infrastructure and protects our environment.
Thank you for taking part.
Kindest regards
