Three Minutes is the total amount of time we were allocated to present all this difficult and detailed information to the Planning Committee. Below are the speaking notes and the supplementary information which we presented in that time.

The developers paid team of 20-30 including a Kings Council took substantially longer to say, repeatedly, that our concerns were groundless fears or had been addressed.

The planning committee, who at the previous meeting were called ‘tainted’, who’s chairman had had to recuse himself on what turned out to be a false allegation of bias, and who’s member had also been removed late in the proceedings for an interest he had fully declared at the start, who were informed that the developer would win at the Planning Appeals Commission and costs of ‘well north of a hundred thousand pounds’ would be incurred (see page 7 of our transcript) found that the development should be approved.
