NI Water highlights sewage capacity issue in Drumbeg

NI Water’s network capacity mapping tool and sewer network modelling activities have identified capacity issues in Drumbeg. They identify Drumbeg as one of a number of wastewater works in the Lisburn and Castlereagh area with capacity issues which could result in planning permission refusal.

To be permitted to proceed, developments in this area would therefore have to be ‘like for like development’ or offer ‘reduced loading on the sewer network’ through for example storm separation or attenuation.

Neither apply to the proposed development in Quarterlands.
